Bob "Blackie" Black

Baseball is more than a simple game to me. I grew up next to a minor league park in Lewiston, Idaho, where I sold snowcones, ice cold Pepsi, was a bat-boy for the Oakland A's sponsored pro team and ran the scoreboard. Reggie Jackson hit homers that landed on our roof. I have watched, rooted for and suffered with the Mariners since their first game in the Kingdome. My mind is filled with memories of driving around the Northwest listening to the magical voice of Dave Niehaus on the radio helping me visualize the games. My name is Bob "Blackie" Black in real life.
