Baseball is in many ways a cerebral sport with so many variables and intricacies which can help determine the outcome of an at-bat, an inning, a game and of course a season. However, at the heart of it all there's little which gets people as excited as the simple pleasure of watching your team score via a home run, including fans of the Seattle Mariners.
Following the weekend series sweep of the Tampa Bay Rays, the Mariners are third in the majors with 171 home runs, led by Cal Raleigh's league-leading and (easily) career-high 45. Let's take this opportunity to count down the five longest homers of the 2025 season to date for the M's.
The 5 longest Mariners home runs of the 2025 season (so far)
5. Julio Rodríguez - 442 feet vs. Minnesota Twins on June 23

Julio Rodríguez is performing his usual trick of getting into a zone during the second half of the season, with him recently becoming the the first player in Major League history to start his career with four consecutive seasons of 20 home runs and 20 steals. For home runs specifically, his 442-foot blast in Minnesota versus the Twins actually came during a period when he was struggling to put it together at the plate.
The home run in question proved to be Rodríguez's only one during June, in what was his least productive month of the year. Some may point to it not being particularly needed in a game which the Mariners ultimately won 11-2, but in fairness it did come at point when the team was tentatively leading just 1-0.
4. Randy Arozarena - 445 feet vs. Houston Astros on July 18

This one just went 445 feet! pic.twitter.com/1KGeexBdaa
Randy Arozarena has often been described as a mercurial talent, but the truth is the Mariners have mostly seen the good since he arrived in Seattle prior to last year's trade deadline. This season in particular has seen him prove to be the team's second-most consistently productive offensive threat behind Mr. Raleigh.
About the only area Arozarena seemingly wasn't being particularly effective was with home runs, but then he went on a run of 10 blasts in 14 games, which concluded with his 445-foot effort in a 6-1 win against the Astros. Since then, the two-time All-Star has gone on to equal his career-high of 23 homers in a season and he will more than likely set a new mark in the coming weeks.
Tied-2. Dominic Canzone - 450 feet vs. Arizona Diamondbacks on June 9
450 FOOT BOMB!

Dominic Canzone is an interesting cat, in that he has an ability to rub some people the wrong way with a perceived attitude that he thinks and acts like he's a better player than he actually is. In fairness though he has been pretty damn good this season, highlighted by a .280 batting average, .793 OPS and 127 OPS+ which are all projected to easily be career-bests in his third year in the majors.
Canzone will no doubt not be surprised to find himself tied for the second-longest home run by a Mariners player this season, with his 450-foot effort coming against his previous team in just his third game of the 2025 campaign. It was his first bomb this year and conceivably set the stage to show the M's and the rest of baseball exactly what he always knew he was capable of.
Tied-2. Josh Naylor - 450 feet vs. Chicago White Sox on August 6
Absolutely CRUSHED 💥 pic.twitter.com/6Zke3DK3gn
— Seattle Mariners (@Mariners) August 7, 2025
To say Josh Naylor has helped galvanize the Mariners since arriving in a trade from the Arizona Diamondbacks would be an understatement. His cerebral nature, work ethic and pure talent have all been on display, with the unexpected bonus of going 10-for-10 in stolen bases to lead the league during his time in Seattle. (This is only one less than the 11 he previously got in 93 games with the Diamondbacks this year.)
As for his hitting, Naylor has four home runs so far for the Mariners, with his longest coming against the White Sox and truly announcing his arrival in the Pacific Northwest. The two-run blast proved crucial in opening the scoring in the top of the first and contributing towards chasing White Sox starting pitcher Jonathan Cannon from the game after just 1.2 innings, in what was ultimately a 8-6 win for the good guys.
1. Cole Young - 456 feet vs. Texas Rangers on July 31

Cole Young made an immediate impression during his Major League debut on May 31, producing the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the 11th for a walk-off 5-4 win at home versus the Twins. Since then he's continued to leave his mark, including surpassing Ken Griffey Jr. as the youngest ever Mariner to walk four times in a game and having the highest walk-rate among hitters with at least 50 plate appearances since the All-Star break.
Perhaps it shouldn't come as that much of a surprise that despite all the star-studded power in this Mariners lineup — doesn't that sound great for fans to here? — it's Young who leads the way with the longest home run. He might not hit many, but this one was a beauty even though it was scaled back slightly from its original recorded distance of 470 feet, as it helped give the M's some breathing space in what was eventually a 6-0 shutout against the Rangers.
