The Mariners are wrapping up their short home stand on Wednesday against Kansas City. In this series, the M's won the first game behind a strong offensive performance and good pitching from George Kirby, as Seattle won 6-2 over the Royals. The Mariners struggled offensively in game two of this series against Royals' pitcher Michael Wacha. Though Logan Gilbert was much sharper than in his previous start against the Twins, he took the loss, going 6.2 IP, giving up just four hits, walking three, striking out seven, and allowing three earned runs. In turn, that makes today the rubber match of the series.

Probable Starting Pitchers

  • Bryan Woo will take the mound for just the second time this season. Hopefully, today's start will be longer than Woo's first start of the season in which he left the game early as a precaution after experiencing arm tightness. Despite leaving the game early, Woo had a good outing, as he shutout the A's for 4.1 IP, surrendered just one hit, while walking one, and finished with three punch-outs.
  • Alec Marsh is making his sixth start of the season, as he takes the hill for the Royals. Marsh is (3-0), with a 2.53 ERA, and 24 K in 32 IP. In Marsh's last start against the Angels, he went just 5.1 IP, and gave up just one earned run, four hits, and two walks, while striking out seven.
