MLB free agency officially got underway on Thursday, with Seattle Mariners fans wondering what the team will do to position itself for another run at a World Series berth. Whether it's re-signing Josh Naylor and/or Jorge Polanco or bringing in someone new, these next few months will tell us plenty about how far ownership and the front office are prepared to go in capturing that elusive first AL Pennant.

However, even as the wheels of the offseason turn, fans are already looking forward to planning a trip to Peoria to watch the Mariners in spring training next year. And helping those putting together an itinerary, on Wednesday the M's dropped their 2026 Cactus League schedule:

Key takeaways from release of Mariners 2026 spring training schedule

There's plenty to interest fans, with the Mariners involved in one of four Cactus League games on Feb. 20 to kick off spring training action. They will be the official home team versus the San Diego Pades at Peoria Sports Complex — which the two teams share — on a day which will also feature one Grapefruit League game and two exhibition fixtures.

Arguably standing out among the 32 games the Mariners will play in 31 days between Feb. 20 and Mar. 23, are the two matchups with the two-time reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers. The first meeting comes early in the M's fourth game of spring training, and what better way to get an up-close look at how a championship organization prepares and conducts themselves?

One intriguing aspect to consider during spring training is that the World Baseball Classic will also be taking place in the background. This will include 28 exhibition games on Mar. 3-4 and the actual tournament between Mar. 5-17, with Cal Raleigh among those already committed to playing after announcing back in July that he will join Team USA.

Game times and the broadcast schedule for the Mariners' 2026 spring training schedule will be released at a later date. Fans can begin purchasing tickets on Nov. 19, but those wanting further information can read this article by Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times and keep an eye on the Mariners' official site.
