No. 3: Bryce Miller, RHP

As with Woo, Miller is another starter entering his third season with potential designs on a first All-Star selection. And while he appears unassuming with his slender frame, he is a fierce competitor who is determined to continue improving and become one of the best at his position.

It may surprise some people that Miller had the best WAR among all Mariners pitchers last year. It's a testament to him when considering the overall talent in the rotation. In general, he made excellent improvement during his second season after showing glimpses of his ability during a promising rookie year in 2023.

When it was all said and done, the 2021 fourth-round draft pick finished second among all M's starters in ERA in 2024, while producing a 0.976 WHIP. At the same time, there is still a need for some improvement, particularly on the road, where he had the worst ERA disparity among all Mariners starters (4.07 compared to 1.96 at T-Mobile Park).

Overall, there's a lot to like about Miller, with plenty of reasons to be encouraged by his chances of becoming a first-time All-Star in 2025. As Tanner Vogt recently wrote about, this includes an increase in his average fastball velocity this spring.
