Seattle Mariners fans sure have been blessed with some all-time announcer calls, from "Get out the rye bread and mustard, Grandma! It's grand salami time!" to "Hey now! Hey now!" to "Boomstick Baby!"

From 1977 through 2024, Dave Niehaus and Dave Sims were a comforting, informative force for Mariners fans. They are both icons to the franchise, and Seattle fans were blessed to no end to have the two familiar voices call games for so long.

Yet with Niehaus having passed away in 2010 and Sims now in New York to call Yankees games, this era has ended. The 2024 season also marked the end of Mike Blowers analyzing games for ROOT Sports, clearing the deck for a new era of Mariners broadcasts.

So who will be on the mic for Mariners games in 2025? Let's take a look at the TV and radio side of things.

Who are the Mariners' TV and radio announcers for 2025?

Aaron Goldsmith - TV Play-by-Play announcer

Goldsmith was a hot commodity just a couple of years ago to replace a few retiring broadcasters, yet doubled down on his commitment to the Mariners by turning down the job for his favorite childhood team, the St. Louis Cardinals. This will be his 12th season with the Mariners and with the departure of Sims, he is now the face of Mariners TV.

Rick Rizzs - Radio Play-by-Play announcer

The longest-tenured Mariners broadcaster, Rick Rizzs returns for his 40th season. He is one of the most consistent callers of games around the league. For fans who opt for the nostalgic way to take in the game via the radio, it would be hard to find a better voice around the league than Rizzs.

Gary Hill Jr. - Radio Color Commentator

Hill Jr. is very involved in the back-end production of Mariners media, but joined the radio in 2017. Hill Jr. can be heard on many podcasts of Mariners fans as well as the Mariners Podcast, Mariners Hot Stove Show, Trident Talk and the Wheelhouse Podcast with Jerry Dipoto.

Angie Mentink - TV Analyst

A Seattle sports icon, Mentink made her mark in Mariners media as part of the pre-game and post-game crew. Now in her 29th year with ROOT, fans love her, and she has become a stalwart voice among Mariners media members. Because of that, she has moved into a more prominent role within the broadcast of Mariner games. She took on a larger role in 2024 and that role is expected to continue to grow in 2025.

Jay Buhner - TV Analyst

"Bone" will return to the Mariners broadcast group in 2025. While the extent of his role is not known yet, he will join Goldsmith on select games throughout the year. A Mariners Hall of Famer, Buhner is one of the more entertaining voices in Seattle and, after a separate stints from 2002-05 and 2011-12, fans will again get the listen to Buhner and Goldsmith for what should be some entertaining commentary.

Ryan Rowland-Smith - TV Analyst

Rowland-Smith joined ROOT Sports right after his playing career concluded. He has called games as an on-air analyst with MLB Network, and has also been a voice during the World Baseball Classic. Like Buhner and Goldsmith, Rowland-Smith brings a fun, energetic and insightful voice to the Mariners

Dave Valle - TV Analyst

Valle joined ROOT SPORTS in 2010 after some time with MLB Network. His experience as an analyst, as well as his 10 seasons with the Mariners, provides a lot of knowledge and experience to the Mariners broadcast group.
