It's that time of the year again, Mariners fans! Its time to vote your Seattle Mariners into the 2023 All-Star game! Voting has officially opened, and you can vote right here. You are allowed to vote 5 times a day per email address. Here are 3 Mariners that i believe WILL make the Mid-Summer classic, and 3 that could fall short. I also will include an old friend that i think we should all vote for.

Cal Raleigh, Catcher

Cal has been off to a great start for 2023. According to fangraphs, Cal is the 3rd highest catcher in WAR (1.4), 6th in WRC+ (116), tied for 2nd in homeruns (8) and tied for 3rd in runs scored (27). Cal is in the top 5 in nearly every offensive stat. In all likelyhood, Adley Rutschman will win the fan vote. But remember Mariners fans, the game is being played in Seattle. Let's make sure to send Big Dumper to the All-Star Game!

Julio Rodriguez, Outfield

Julio Rodriguez has been on a tear lately, winning the AL Player of the week award just this last week. Even with the early season slump, Julio's is still hitting the ball extreamly hard. According to Baseball Savant, Julio's average Exit Velocity is at the 93rd percentile. His hard hit percentage Ranks in the 94th percentile, Julio is going up against some stiff competition in the OF spot, so make sure you vote for him 5 times per day!

Jarred Kelenic, Outfield

While Jarred Kelenic is having a much improved season, he will certinaly need Mariners fans to show up at the ballot box. His April was much better than his month of May, and he has started to cool off. While he is not at the botom of the league anymore, he will have a hard time passing the likes of Aaron Judge, Yordon Alvarez and even Julio Rodriguez. (You can only vote for 3 OF). Kelenic does bring some national attention, but will it be enough to get voted into the Mid-Summer Classic? If his June is as good as his April was, then i definatley think so!

3 Mariners I think miss the Mark

Now, some of these names will seem obvious to you. AJ Pollock and Kolten Wong absolutely will not be all-stars, so i'm not going to include them. We are not allowed to vote for pitchers, but i am going to include 2 of them here for arguments sake. The 3 Mariners players i think mis out are Ty France, Logan Gilbert and George Kirby. George Kirby and Logan Gilbert are having amazing years, but with other M's pitchers Luis Castillo and Paul Sewald, I think they will get left out. Ty France, as much as we love him, is not having an all-star year at the moment.

Keep in mind, every team will be represented in the All-Star game. While i know Kirby and Gilbert deserve a spot, theirs could be taken by an Athletic, Royal or Tiger. The key to getting as many Mariners players into the game is to vote, vote and VOTE! I will also leave you with this. Please vote for old friend Daniel Vogelbach for the NL DH. Who knows? maybe he could steal a base during the game. And that is something we all deserve to see.
