Like the Great Lou Brown once said "We won a game yesterday. If we win one today, that's two in a row If we win tomorrow, that's called a winning streak. It has happened before."

It is early in the season, but the Mariners' offense has been worrisome. The Mariners put together a huge 10th inning to avoid the sweep in Toronto, and they are finally back home for a tough weekend series against the Chicago Cubs. With all of the Mariners' struggles this season, they still are just 5-8, and just 2 games behind the Texas Rangers.

Probable Starting Pitchers

The Mariners will send Bryce Miller to the mound tonight to face the Cubs. Miller (1-1, 3.00 ERA) is coming off of an amazing start against the Brewers in Milwaukee. Bryce went 7 shutout innings, allowing just 3 hits and walking only one. He was extremely efficient in that outing, only needing 78 pitches to get through those 7 innings. If Miller has that kind of command all season, the league better watch out.

As for the Cubs, they will start southpaw Jordan Wicks. The tall lefty will also be making his third start of the season, and he will be looking for his first win of the season. Wicks (0-1, 4.15 ERA) has pitched just 8.2 innings this season and has not gone longer than 4.2 innings yet this season. He has faced the Rangers and Dodgers so far. He has not given up a home run yet this season, and is striking out opponents at a career-high level of 13.5 strikeouts per 9 innings.
