Seattle Mariners probable pitchers and starting lineups vs. Astros, May 30th
The Mariners are coming off a walk-off win and are looking for the sweep against the Astros, trying to extend their win streak to five.
Today the Mariners close out a big series with division rival Houston looking for a sweep. The Mariners have won four games in a row, with three come-from-behind wins during this win streak. J.P. Crawford hit a walk-off sacrifice fly to right field to give the Mariners their fourth straight win, as Jonatan Clase scored the winning run in the 10th inning of last night's game. The Mariners are hoping to create a little more magic on Thursday, as they look to extend their win streak with a sweep over Houston.
Starting Pitchers for Today's game, May 30th
- The Mariners will send right-hander Logan Gilbert (3-2, 3.06 ERA) to the mound for their series finale with Houston. Logan Gilbert has found success against Houston in his career, posting a (5-2) record, along with a 3.15 ERA versus the Astros. In his last start against the Astros, Gilbert threw eight scoreless innings, gave up just two hits, had four walks, and struck out six, as he picked up the win. Gilbert will be hoping to replicate that performance again on Thursday, as he takes on the Astros.
- The Astros are starting young righty Spencer Arrighetti (2-5, 6.93 ERA) close out the series with Seattle. The Mariners have yet to face Arrighetti this season, as they did not see him when they were in Houston earlier this month. He has been sharper in May, as Arrighetti has posted a 5.33 ERA with a (2-2) record, after going (0-3) with a 10.97 ERA in the first month of the season. Arrighetti is still looking for his first quality start and has yet to go longer than 6.1 IP, averaging above five innings per start.

Game notes
- This game is the series finale of a four-game set with the Houston Astros. After playing Houston, the Mariners will continue their seven-game home stand with a three-game series against the Angels.
- The Mariners are 5-1 against Houston this season and 14-5 against the Astros since the start of the 2023 season.
- Seattle is looking for their second sweep of the season, their only sweep this year came in a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds (April 15-17).
- After winning last night's game, the Mariners have now won six straight home series and are (9-3-1) in their last 13 series.
The Mariners will rely on their pitching, as they try to close out the series with a sweep. The M's have enjoyed playing at home in front of their fans at home, as they are 18-10 at T-Mobile Park, good for the fifth-best home record in baseball since April 15th. Hopefully, Thursday will offer a little more good home cooking, and the Mariners can sweep the Astros.
