Mariners vs Rockies: Pitching Matchups

Friday, April 19th @ 5:40 PM: Emerson Hancock vs Dakota Hudson
Rescheduled into a doubleheader for Sunday
Saturday, April 20th @ 5:10 PM: Luis Castillo vs Kyle Freeland
Sunday, April 21st @ 12:10 PM: George Kirby vs Cal Quantrill

The pitching for the Rockies has been plain bad this season, and bad all over. Their overall ERA is last, their starter ERA is last, and their bullpen ERA is the 3rd worst in baseball as well. They actually are throwing their best starter this series in the first game, as Hudson has a 4.15 ERA this season. He's struggled to get strikeouts, so the Mariners should have a lot of opportunities to put the ball in ball.

Freeland has really struggled this season, giving up an astounding 32 hits across 15.2 innings. He's also walked 8 hitters while striking out just 9. Quantrill hasn't been striking out hitters either. This could be the exact matchup that the Mariners need to keep rolling and get back to 500.
