Best Pitcher: George Kirby

6.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 6 K

Kirby gave the Mariners a great chance to take the second game of the series, even if they ended up falling short 4-2. He had 15 swings and misses, six of which were on his slider. He also had six called strikes on his sinker, something he has been known for.

Interestingly enough, his four-seam fastball, which has been his best pitch since he made his big league debut, didn't do too much against Houston. He had one swinging strike, one called strike, and nine fouls.

Honorable Mention: Bryan Woo

5.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 5 K

Woo got the final start of the series and was able to secure the sole win for the team. It wasn't the best start that he's had in 2024 but it was a big bounce back after a rough outing in Anaheim. He had just eight swinging strikes, five of which were on his four-seam fastball, but he did have 12 called strikes, six of which were on his four-seam fastball and four of which were on his sinker.
