Mariners Take Chaos Ball to San Francisco

Game 1: Bryan Woo has his best start to date and Julio leads the offense to a win. Final 6-5 Mariners

Bryan Woo finally continues his hot streak since his horrible debut in Texas. Woo went 6 innings, giving up 2 runs and striking out 7 Giant hitters. Woo gets his first quality start as a major leaguer.

The Mariners offense came to life late with a sac fly from Julio in the seventh to tie the game at 2-2. The Mariners raddled off 4 more runs in the ninth with Jose Cabellero being a menace on the base paths, raddling one of the best closer in Camilo Doval. Julio would knock in 2 with a double and Henrnandez would single in Julio for a much needed insurance run.

Sewald would pitch his third game in as many days and give up a 3 run homerun to Blake Sabol but would lock up the win for a Mariners 6-5 win.

Game 2: Logan Gilbert goes the distance and Mike Ford has a special Fourth of July birthday. Final 6-0 Mariners

Logan Gilbert was fantastic against the Giants hitters and made a case for himself to be in the All Star game as a replacement. Gilbert goes 9 innings striking out 7 and giving up no runs. It is Gilbert's first complete game shutout of his career. Gilbert has a 3.82 ERA, a 1.02 WHIP, 100 K's and 9 quality starts on the year.

The other story from this game was Mike Ford who went 4 for 5 on his birthday with a single, two doubles and a homerun. While scoring 2 runs and batting one in. The Mariners tally 13 hits as there hot start of July continues.

Game 3: Mariners bats go cold in the series finale. Final 0-2 Giants

Mariners looked to stay undefeated in July as they went for the sweep of the Giants. Tommy Milone was called up from Tacoma and pitched well enough to keep the Mariners in the game. Milone went 4.1 innings giving up 2 runs 1 earned while giving up 4 hits and 4 walks.

Mariners hitters couldn't figure out Alex Cobb as he went 6 innings, striking out 7 and giving up no runs. Mariners hitters just couldn't put anything together, while they had 7 hits they had no walks in the game and the Giants pitching dominated the Mariners in the finale. Mariners take two out of three from Giants team who is in the playoff hunt in the National League.

Mariners will look to make it 3 series wins in a row as they go to Houston for a 4 game series before the All Star break begins.
