Michael Arroyo’s 2024 season with the Everett AquaSox was nothing short of electrifying and his 2025 season has been impressive in the early going, punctuated by a walk-off home run that featured an unforgettable bat flip.

The Colombian infielder’s dramatic gesture not only secured the win, but also showcased his flair and confidence, making it a highlight of the AquaSox’s season so far.

Even on a loaded Everett AquaSox roster, Michael Arroyo is finding ways to stand out from the crowd

Despite sharing the roster with top talents like Colt Emerson and Lazaro Montes, Arroyo has carved out his own spotlight. In 60 games with Everett last year, he posted a .291 batting average, a .397 on-base percentage, and a .519 slugging percentage, along with 12 home runs and 40 RBIs.

Arroyo's 2024 numbers as a whole were incredibly impressive when you factor in his time at Low-A Modesto: a .285 average, 23 home runs, 89 RBIs, 18 stolen bases, and a .400 OBP showcase a breakout season for the young infielder.

Arroyo’s '24 season was built around consistency, earning him a lot of recognition, including being named a Northwest League All-Star and a spot on Columbia's roster in their quest toqualify for the World Baseball Classic. His ability to reach base safely in 88 of 98 games underscores his reliability at the plate and ability to fight through the highs and lows of a long season.

Entering the 2025 season, Arroyo is ranked as the No. 7 prospect in the Mariners’ system by MLB Pipeline. His blend of power, speed, and plate discipline positions him as a potential ascendant star. While the Mariners’ farm system is rich with talent, Arroyo’s 2024 performance suggests he could rise to the top tier of prospects if he continues on this trajectory.

As the AquaSox’s roster remains stacked, Arroyo’s development will be one to watch. If he can replicate and even build upon his 2024 success, 2025 could indeed be his true coming-out party, solidifying his status as a prospect worthy of top billing in Seattle’s system.
