The Seattle Mariners provided a sudden burst of transparency on Tuesday with regard to their many injuries, and fans aren't going to like what the team had to say about Victor Robles. He's going to remain on the injured list for even longer than expected.

After Robles first dislocated and fractured his left shoulder on April 6, the initial prognosis was that he would need 12 weeks of recovery time. However, any notion that he would be able to return to the Mariners in July has gone up in smoke.

As per Daniel Kramer of MLB.com, the 28-year-old outfielder is healing well but is at least six weeks away from beginning baseball activities. General manager Justin Hollander now puts Robles' estimated return in September, in which case he'd have precious little time to get up to speed for a potential playoff run.

Mariners News: Logan Gilbert has a timeline, and good news for Bryce Miller and Luke Raley

Hollander did have some good injury news on Tuesday, including that staff ace Logan Gilbert will begin a rehab assignment for Triple-A Tacoma this week. He'll need to make at least two appearances while staying on a six-day routine, potentially putting him in line to return by June 10.

This is merely the latest in a pattern of good news for Gilbert, which started when tests on his elbow revealed a flexor strain and not a damaged UCL. He had been better than ever in his first six starts, posting a 2.37 ERA with 44 strikeouts against only six walks. When he returns, he'll be back alongside George Kirby in the rotation for the first time all year.

As for fellow right-hander Bryce Miller, his situation continues to be confusing but is not as alarming as it felt on Monday. Via Kramer, Hollander revealed that Miller has a bone spur in his elbow that caused the inflammation that landed him on the IL, yet the threat is not an ongoing one:

Miller is set to come off the IL sometime during the current homestand, which will conclude next Thursday.

Last but not least, outfielder/first baseman Luke Raley is nearly ready to begin a rehab assignment. Sidelined since April 27 with a right oblique strain, he is now ready to ramp up his swinging and could go out on assignment next week. Hollander anticipates it will last "at least a week."

Mariners News: Cal Raleigh made history on Tuesday, and Logan Evans joined in

The Mariners also played an actual game on Tuesday, and it went well. They rolled for an easy 9-1 win over the Washington Nationals, with help from two home runs by Cal Raleigh.

Raleigh is up to 19 home runs for the year. That leads the American League, and Sarah Langs of MLB.com further notes that it is the most homers by a primary catcher through his team's first 53 games.

Raleigh's battery mate had a heck of a game in his own right, as rookie righty Logan Evans tallied eight innings and allowed only four hits, one walk, and one run. Per Tim Booth of The Seattle Times, he is the first Mariners rookie aged 24 or younger to go eight innings in a start since Andrew Moore in 2017.

Evans needed only 88 pitches to get through eight innings, and he did it against a Nationals lineup that was entirely stacked with left-handed hitters. According to Kramer, it was only the third time in their history that the Mariners had faced an all-lefty lineup.

Evans now has a 2.83 ERA through six starts, tying him with Blake Beavan for the seventh-lowest ERA by a Mariners starter through the first six starts of his career.
