Just because the holidays are approaching does not necessarily mean that gift ideas are also coming quickly. See these ideas for the relative or friend who also likes the Mariners. Primary sources for Mariners clothing, caps, and other swag are the MLB Shop, over at Fans Edge, and you can head to Lids to find a bunch of different hat options. We’ve linked to the Mariners selections on each of those sites, cause that’s who we care about here.
We have another article up with a ton of shirts that you could look into from this year’s previous season. In addition, if you do not wish to shop from home, you can find Mariners Team Stores at T-Mobile Park, on 4th Avenue downtown, and at Southcenter and Alderbrook malls.
I recommend looking at Tiny Turnip if you are purchasing something for a little one. This site offers original Mariners’ baseball-themed clothing for infants, toddlers, youth, and adult women. The wives of two MLB players own this business. If purchasing for a baby, I suggest the “I Dad” and “I Mom” onesie. A personalized white or navy bib or a personalized navy blanket, with a Mariners logo from mlbshop.com, would be cute.
Many toddlers would sleep better at night with the gift of two Mariner’s Moose nightlights from mlbshop.com. Remember playing the game with maybe 50 cardboard squares made up of pairs of images to match? Why not give the Mariners’ version of this matching game from the same site?
Kids may appreciate the insulated lunch bag, with or without their names on it. Go to mlbshop.com for 2022 postseason t-shirts that come in youth sizes as do Nike navy blue Ken Griffey, Jr. and Ichiro Suzuki shirts. Perhaps it is time for the child to have a suitcase of his or her own for school or trips. Mariners’ MOJO 19” wheeled backpacks come in black, pink, or gray with an option to personalize.
I heard once that there are more cows in Vermont than people. I suggest that more mugs exist in the United States than people. I don’t recommend a mug for the tween or teen though there are good options on mlbshop.com. Young people may like a Mariners’ cap that come in Snapback, fitted, and adjustable styles. Phone and sound accessories such as iPhone covers, UV phone sanitizers, air pod cases, and speakers might be fun as would a water bottle or a tabletop air hockey game. Gift cards come in various looks.
Accessories for phones or to enhance sound would appeal to a high school age teen. The Collectibles and Memorabilia section of mlbshop.com has items priced from under $10.00 to collectibles costing $2,000.00. Unsigned photos of the teen’s favorite player(s) or signed baseballs may be a hit with a high school fan. A Mariners’ corn hole set is also available if the family does not already have one.
A vast quantity of shirts, pants, jackets, caps and other clothing are available for adults on the three sites listed above. Mlbshop.com also has blankets, coasters, every size of glass imaginable, as well as a dart board cabinet, a guitar, various decals, flags, and flasks. Fansedge.com offers a nice-looking golf umbrella that would shelter a Western Washington friend or relative. Lids.com offers a larger variety of polo shirts for men. Is there a bowler in the house? Two different bowling balls, drilled and undrilled, are offered at fansedge.com
Lids also sells five purses by Dooney & Bourke. Two, a larger and a smaller version, have large Mariners’ and baseball imagery. The other three purses have a leather look with a small Mariners’ logo. Mlbshop.com sells Mariners’ jewelry for women and cufflinks and tie clips for men. Since taste is so personal, I suggest seeking some input about whether the man or woman would really wear the jewelry prior to buying any.
There are some gifts for the whole family. Fansedge.com has a set of Mariners’ grilling utensils. Families may enjoy putting together a Mariners jigsaw puzzle.
Of course, we cannot leave the dog out! Lids.com has a dog house in the shape of a cap. This site also sells Mariners’ covers for couches and chairs which may signal to your pup that he or she is now welcome to sit with you.
While you can always purchase a shirt as a Mariners’ gift, there are quite a few other options out there! Happy Holidays!
