The Mariners offense has been struggling to put runs on the board so far this year. They rank among the lowest teams in the league in terms of runs scored and batting average with runners in scoring position. It’s a worthy fact to keep in mind when looking at the lines in a game, especially with the over/under. Let’s take a look at the lineup, pitcher, and odds for the second game of the series against the White Sox in Chicago.

What Time is the Mariners Game Today?

The Mariners play at 04:10 PM PT.

Mariners vs White Sox Odds Today

The White Sox are favorites in the first game, opening as -1.5 favorites at WynnBET. This makes the fifth game in a row that the Mariners have been 1.5 run underdogs. They sit at +155 (Bet $100 to win $155) with the M’s at -190 (If they lose by one or win, you could bet $190 to win $100).

If you are more interested in betting the moneyline (straight-up winner) the M’s are +110 (Bet $100 to win $110) with the White Sox at -120 (Bet $120 to win $100).

If all you are concerned with is the run total in the game, the over-under is set at 8.5. If you like the over, it’s -125 (Bet $125 to win $100) and the under is +105 (Bet $100 to win $105).

Mariners Pitcher Today: Robbie Ray

Ray takes the mound for the second time in a Mariners uniform, and will look to put together another good start for the M’s. He was pretty good in his first go-round, becoming the first pitcher this year to go seven innings. He gave up just one run while striking out 5. Ray has shown some nasty strikeout stuff in the past, and most Mariners fans are just waiting for the first occurrence of a 10-K game for Ray, of which he had 10 last season.

Mariners Starting Lineup

Lots of changes to the lineup today. Frazier gets the day off, as do Kelenic and Winker. Toro is at second, with Torrens at DH and Murphy behind the plate. Dylan Moore also gets the start in left field. This is by far the most changes to the standard lineup that we have seen so far this year… and maybe it’s the spark that can get the offense flowing.

Mariners vs White Sox Prediction Today

Pitchers duel. That’s what I’m going with today. Ray is dominant this time around, going 7 once again but striking out 9. He walks four just like he did in Minnesota, but give up four hits as well this time. Just one run given up on a solo homer. On the other side, Keuchel stymies Seattle, inducing a bunch of weak contact. A late rally with a double by Haniger gives the M’s a 3-1 win.
