After wrapping things up in Minnesota, albeit in a disappointing fashion, the Mariners will head southeast to Chicago for a three-game set to wrap up their road trip. The pitching has been pretty good, but the offense will need to find itself if they are going to have any chance against the team that a lot of people are picking to win not just the AL Central, but to represent the American League in the World Series.

Mariners vs White Sox Odds Today

The White Sox are favorites in the first game, opening as -1.5 favorites at WynnBET. They sit at +145 (Bet $100 to win $145) with the M’s at -175 (If they lose by one or win, you could bet $175 to win $100).

If all you are concerned with is the run total in the game, the over-under is set at 9.0. If you like the over, it’s -110 (Bet $110 to win $100) and the under is -110 (Bet $110 to win $100).

Mariners Pitcher Today: Matt Brash

It’s finally here! We’ve had to wait through the entire first series, but Matt Brash is going to get his first career start for the Mariners. It’s not going to be an easy one, as the White Sox are quite the dangerous team. If he can go five innings while giving up three runs, it’s going to go down as a mildly successful start to open his career.

Mariners Starting Lineup

Once again, the M’s don’t go back-to-back games with the same catcher, as Luis Torrens will be catching Matt Brash’s first career start. Kelenic moves over to center to give Julio his first day off, and Toro goes to third with Suarez at DH. Crawford, who has arguably been the best hitter on the team so far this season, sits in the ninth spot, providing that “second leadoff” guy that so many fans enjoy seeing.

Mariners vs White Sox Prediction Today

Brash has some struggles, giving up a homer to Abreu. He shows the nasty slider though, and K’s 7 in five innings, while giving up 3. With Velazquez on the mound for the White Sox, the Mariners leave their offensive woes behind them in Minnesota, and finally start to knock the ball around. They jump out during a big third inning that starts with a Crawford single, and end up putting up 3 that inning. Scattering a few more throughout the rest of the game, they end up with a 7-4 win.
