Seattle did not add anybody to their 40 man roster before yesterday’s Rule 5 deadline. While no Mariners are expected to be selected, speedster Ian Miller could be taken by a centerfield needy team, like the Detroit Tigers. Again, it is not expected that any Mariners will be taken.
Hisashi Iwakuma told The Japan Times, that Seattle has already made him an offer for the 2018 season. Iwakuma hopes to be ready by Opening Day, and is weighing the offer from Seattle.
