The Seattle Mariners have been one of the busiest teams in the early rounds of the Hot Stove Season. It is easy to miss something, especially with the holidays coming up.

In case you need to catch up with the latest rumors and news stories, we present a quick run down of what you might have missed below.

  • Jery Dipoto traded JP Sears and Juan Then to the New York Yankees for reliever Nick Rumbelow. While a relatively low upside reliever, Rumbelow does help replace the loss of Emilio Pagan, who was traded away for Ryon Healy.
  • Jerry Dipoto “likes our depth at right handed relievers”, which help explains the recent trade of Emilio Pagan.

Seattle did not add anybody to their 40 man roster before yesterday’s Rule 5 deadline. While no Mariners are expected to be selected, speedster Ian Miller could be taken by a centerfield needy team, like the Detroit Tigers. Again, it is not expected that any Mariners will be taken.

  • On the latest Sodo Mojo Podcast, the guys talk Ryon Healy and the Off-Season plan.
  • Hisashi Iwakuma told The Japan Times, that Seattle has already made him an offer for the 2018 season. Iwakuma hopes to be ready by Opening Day, and is weighing the offer from Seattle.

  • Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe, reports the Mariners are not interested in shopping Nelson Cruz.
  • Seattle Mariners single game tickets are now on sale.

That is just about everything that has happened over the past 3 days. You can never be sure when Jerry Dipoto will strike again. It was just last year, on the day before Thanksgiving, Dipoto pulled off the famous Taijuan Walker and Ketel Marte for Jean Segura and Mitch Haniger trade.

Could Dipoto pull off another massive trade in the next 2 days? Probably not. But are you willing to bet against Jerry Dipoto? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
