Next to opening day, the release of the Mariners commercials is the most exciting day of the spring for M’s fans.

The Seattle Mariners released their much anticipated, annual commercials on Wednesday morning. Throughout the years the Mariners have given us priceless gems, like Cloning Junior, Edgar and the Rookies, The Wizard, How do you spell Raul, Meaningful Moments and Old School Kyle.

Of the four commercials released this year we have K-Swag, Nellie’s Auto Glass, Clubhouse Questions and Mirror Images.  What are your favorites? How would you rank this years’ display of powerhouse marketing and promoting positive club images?

Here are my rankings of this year’s 2016 Seattle Mariners commercials:

Next: Mirror Images

More from Mariners News

I’m a sucker for nostalgia and sentimentality, so Mirror Images came in at the top of my list this year. Anything that represents a hitter’s rise back to the top will have me reaching for the Kleenex. This commercial features second baseman Robinson Cano and his mirror reflection, Edgar Martinez. You can’t help but feel happy about the bond these two display in this.

Robinson Cano was a natural gifted athelte long before he was coached by Edgar Martinez, but you cannot ignore the positive influence Edgar seems to have on Robbie’s confidence. This season, Cano will be a very good hitter again. We’ll all enjoy the benefits of Robbie hitting well, but I think that guy on the left will enjoy it a little bit more than the rest of us.

Next: K-Swag

This commercial is a classic. Kyle Seager, as we all know, is a pretty low-key dude. He seems like the “I’m here to do my job, do it well and go home,” type. So commercials like K-Swag are so out of Kyle’s element, that it’s funny for fans to watch how out of character he is.

Commercials that Kyle are apart of tend to poke fun at his usually collective demeanor. Including last year’s Hawt Corner,  which actually makes a cameo in the back of K-Swag. There seems to always be a commercial there to remind of us to not take the game too seriously, and K-Swag definitely fulfills the silliness factor.

Next: Clubhouse Questions

More from SoDo Mojo

Felix, being the the mainstay of our organization, gets a commercial nod every year. Felix cannot and will not ever do wrong by Mariners fans. It’s only right to display his highness every year in a fun commercial. While all of us know what being around King Felix may entail, the new guys on the club have not gotten the memo. Clubhouse Questions features new additions, Nori Aoki, Wade Miley and Steve Cishek asking Felix what it’s like to be King.

There is no amount of explanation that we could ever get on what it is truly like to be King Felix, but that won’t stop us from guessing. We just get to admire his greatness from afar. Hey, maybe he does have a castle.

Next: Nellie's Auto Glass

While this commercial comes in last for me this, it’s only because the bar of clever Mariners commercials has been set very high. Nelson Cruz, our lovable, brow manicured slugger charms in his commercial for Nellie’s Auto Glass. Last year coming into Spring Training we did not know what to expect from Cruz, but he sure didn’t disappoint with his 44 home run campaign.

Next: Which Mariners would make the best politicians?

This commercial is cheerful and whimsical and pays homage to the crazy power that Nelson Cruz has sustained over the last few seasons. It’s a perfect example of what I believe the Mariners commercials try to exemplify every year: reliability and fun. It’s cool to imagine these elevated superstars as normal guys, even car window repairmen.
