Opening Day is nearly upon us, just one more sleep until Seattle Mariners’ baseball is officially here! Before Joey Cora is tasked with throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, we thought it would be wise to preview the Mariners upcoming series with the Los Angeles Angels.

The Halos won the American League West in 2014, and are viewed by many to be the M’s stiffest competition this season. We have discussed the lofty expectations for the Mariners all week, but the Angels are another favorite among the pundits. Seattle and Los Angeles are anticipated to be in a tight race for the division crown all season, and Monday afternoon is our first taste of what should be a very entertaining season series.

Tonight, we will preview the key things to watch for during the Mariners’ opening series. Among the aspects discussed will be the Mariners’ pitching staff, the revamped lineup, and how the Angels’ will function without Garrett Richards and Josh Hamilton.
