For the past few weeks, MLB Network has been running their FaceofMLB campaign, in which fans around the world can vote for their favorite player to be the Face of MLB.

Each fan base picks one player to represent the team in the first round of the competition. Then, the 30 Faces of the Team go head-to-head in Twitter voting in a March Madness-type bracket.

Last year, it was Joey Votto of the Cincinnati Reds who emerged victorious. This year, Felix Hernandez dethroned the reigning champ in the quarterfinals and is now facing David Wright of the New York Mets in the semifinals.

In the other semifinal, set for voting tomorrow, Eric Sogard of the Oakland Athletics will take on Jose Bautista of the Toronto Blue Jays.

But enough about them. Today, it’s about The King.

Log onto Twitter, each account will be allowed 25 tweets during the voting period (which ends at 5 AM PST tomorrow). Your tweet must include the following: #FelixHernandez #FaceofMLB

That’s it. You can retweet others that have the hashtags in place or you can be creative and perhaps have yours retweeted by others.

Felix will be at a statistical disadvantage simply based on geography. But perhaps people that hate the Mets will vote for Felix too.

Vote early, vote often, let’s give King Felix a proper throne as the Face of MLB.
