About a week ago there were some reports coming out of Los Angeles that the Dodgers were willing to part ways with some pretty big name players. Ken Rosenthal seems to think that there is a market for Matt Kemp, Andre Ethier and Carl Crawford to be shopped around this winter. And with good reason, Yasiel Puig had a gigantic year for the Dodgers and seems to have stamped his ticket the same way Mike Trout did across the street for the Angels.

The Dodgers made a lot of waves in 2013 by pumping up anticipation, tripping over the starting line, and then putting together a miracle second-half of the season to win the NL-West. The emergence of Puig stimulated some extra excitement, and the Dodgers showed that throwing money at a team can sometimes work in your favor.

While the Mariners don’t have the same amount of cash to throw around, but there is still the possibility of one or two big signings to come. There’s plenty of talent in the Sunshine State, if the M’s are willing to pay for it.
