Carson Smith – RHP

Carson Smith is back to his dominant self now that he has returned to the setup job in the Mariners’ bullpen. Smitty went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA through 3 appearances this week. The 25-year-old right-hander struck out 5 and walked none.

The Midland, TX product is having a stellar rookie season. Smith is 2-5 with a 2.70 ERA and 13 saves. He has fanned 77 and walked 19 through 61 appearances. Carson has an incredibly bright future, and should get a chance to be the Mariners’ closer again in the near future.
