James Paxton will become a Star in 2015

James Paxton was incredible in his regular season debut Tuesday night at Safeco Field. Paxton allowed 2 runs on 4 hits across 6 innings of work. Pax had the curveball working this evening, and he tallied 5 strikeouts. The lone blemish was the 2-run home run he surrendered to David Freese in the top of the 4th inning. Unfortunately, the M’s did not give the Ladner, BC product any run support, and Jazzy James was credited with the loss.

Tonight’s loss was the first of Paxton’s career at Safeco Field. James struggled in spring training, going 1-2 and registering a disappointing 7.84 ERA across 10.1 innings. However, he showed no signs of rust tonight against the Halos. Paxton was great for Seattle in 2014, and he figures to play a key role on what we hope is a very competitive ball club this season.
