Seattle has an off day on Sunday, but Mariners’ baseball officially returns on Monday afternoon. The Seattle Mariners will host the Los Angeles Angels on Opening Day at Safeco Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 pm from the corner of Edgar & Dave. Felix Hernandez will make his 7th consecutive opening day start for the Mariners. Veteran right-hander Jered Weaver will get the ball for the Angels. Monday’s game will be televised locally on Root Sports Northwest, and MLB.tv subscribers can watch live on connected devices.
It has felt like an eternity since baseball was last played in the Emerald City, but Opening Day is finally here. Spring Training is in the rear-view mirror, and I cannot wait for this season to get started!
