The Mariners finished 18th in the Major Leagues in runs scored in 2014, with 634 runs scored.

Even though that wasn’t a major improvement over recent seasons, there were certainly Mariners who stepped up their game and contributed greatly to this team offensively.

And of the top-5 hitters on this team, all five are Seattle Mariners next season and the season after that and the season after that.

Though the Mariners still need another professional bat or two, this group of young players showed in 2014 that they have real potential to be a force in the American League.
