Felix Hernandez – SP

What is there to say about the King? It simply doesn’t get better than Felix Hernandez in Fantasy baseball. He currently sits as the #1 overall player in the game. Second to no other player.

Felix Hernandez will be making his fifth All-Star appearance representing the Seattle Mariners. Even though he pitched Friday night in his win against the Oakland Athletics, fans can expect to see him as the starting pitcher for the American League.

Fantasy owners are absolutely loving the year they are getting from their All-Star pitcher. Felix has always been 1st round draft pick status, but this year he started the year with an ADP of 31. Needless to say, he has exceeded fantasy expectations.

Felix already has 11 wins going into the All-Star break. He holds an incredibly low 2.12 ERA to go along with a 0.90 WHIP. He is also second in the league with 154 Ks in 144 IP. The King is having a better year than he did when he won the Cy Young Award in 2010.

Expectations for Felix continue to be high going into the second half of the year. If the Mariners can pick up a bat at the trade deadline, the extra run support could help The King hit the 20 wins mark for the first time in his career. Either way, it has been a remarkable year for the Mariners starting pitcher, as Felix permanently leaves his mark as Fantasy baseball elite.
