Finally, here’s a short list of tips for you to fully take advantage of tonight’s game. There’s a few changes to the stadium this year, but there’s also some advice from some M’s fans who have been around the block a few times (and froze doing it).
- Bring a blanket, or at least bring a jacket. It gets really cold in there for the first few weeks of the season. This is especially true if you’re sitting in the left field bleachers, it gets windy up there, and the metal seats get annoying in the late innings.
- The MLB instituted metal detectors for all stadiums this year. Yes they will be annoying, but they aren’t going away any time soon. Just grin and bear it and we can be on our way to a baseball game.
- Parking fluctuates at the stadium parking lot, for the home opener the price is likely to be $25-35. Save yourself some money and take the bus. Sound Transit will be laying on extra busses and trains for tonight’s game.
- The Mariners are doing a Seahawks celebration before the game, so get there early to cheer on our own Super Bowl Champs. Don’t miss the red carpet introductions of the team either, its always a good time.
Tonight’s game kicks off one of the most anticipated seasons in a while, lets show the M’s how much we want a championship. For those of you who can’t be at the game, you can tap into @SodoMojoFS on Twitter, and you can watch along with Dan.
