The Seattle Mariners brought their Pacific Northwest weather with them to Peoria today but it didn’t stop them from getting the win. The game was called in the bottom of the 7th with the Mariners leading 5-3 over the Los Angeles Angels.
Once again, the pitching looked solid as Scott Baker started and pitched two scoreless innings allowing one hit and one walk.
Robinson Cano, Justin Smoak and Logan Morrison each had two hits as the Mariners improve to 3-0 on the spring, outscoring their opponents by a score of 24-5.
Ji-Man Choi committed the first error by a Mariners position player so far this spring. But defensively, the team was solid once again. Cano and Brad Miller turned a beautiful 4-6-3 double play to end the fourth inning.

Yes, I know it’s Spring Training. But it’s pretty nice to be able to say “Mariners Win” three times in as many days.
The Mariners travel tomorrow to Goodyear Sunday for a game with the Cleveland Indians. First pitch is once again set for 12:05 pm PST.
Check back tomorrow morning for Gameday Preview and starting lineups.
