Draft and Roster Move Q&A

Since last night’s flurry of draft signings, I’ve had some of my buddies who think I’m some sort of baseball genius ask me all sorts of questions in relation to the draft, roster moves, etc (don’t worry, I assured them that I’m just a geek and not in the same class as a Cameron,a Sullivan or a Churchill).

Screeeeeeeech! Hit the breaks, friend. I don’t want to step on Keith’s toes here. So please check out his post below. It’s really cool.

Anyhow, if my buddies are thinking this stuff, some others may be, too. Maybe they aren’t. I don’t know. But, my mom told me that sharing means caring, so here you go!

A Look At Last Nights Signing Deadline

A couple of days ago (Sunday to be exact) I put up a post discussing who would be likely to sign and who wouldn’t. Last night was the signing deadline and we got to see it all go down in grand MLB Draft fashion.

Coming down to the wire the Mariners did end up signing Danny Hultzen, Brad Miller, Carson Smith and Cavan Cohoes. I had put the over/under at 4 and I nailed it exactly. As I told Keith last night bet on the college guys and let the high schoolers surprise.

Let’s take a look at those that signed and one that did not.

MLB Draft Deadline Day

So the Mariners go into today with a few different key draftees still unsigned. The reality is that they won’t sign them all but there is still some positive signs that the important ones, such as Danny Hultzen, will still sign. Let’s take a look at some of the few different draftees that are still unsigned and who are likely to sign before tomorrow nights deadline.
