Mariners offense surging at the right time

Right now the Mariners are only a half game out of the 2nd spot in the Wild Card and the past 4 games the Mariners offense has been coming up big at the right time.

So far, the Mariners have put up 28 runs during this 4 game winning streak. Tonight they’ll be going up against Hector Noesi and will look to add to their winning streak and their run total.

Also if the M’s pull out a win tonight they will put their home record to an even .500!

Basically, tonight’s game has a lot riding on it. If the Royals lose tonight and the M’s win, the Mariners will have regained the 2nd Wild Card spot.

And with Noesi on the mound tonight, fans are hoping he doesn’t put out a Cy Young-like performance.

The Mariners have also been gaining ground on the Angels. The Angels have lost 4 in a row while Seattle has won 4 in a row, here’s hoping that trend continues tonight.

Dustin Ackley has been a monster since the All Star break, hitting .354 with 4 home runs, 13 RBIs, and 8 doubles. Robinson Cano has also been a big help, but Austin Jackson is starting to find his swing and his glove has been a better upgrade to James Jones.

But the Mariners success has been from both their starting pitching and their bullpen. Without both, this M’s team wouldn’t be where they are today.

Mike Zunino has also been finding his swing as he leads the club in home runs and is one homer away from tying Miguel Olivo’s record for most HR’s in a season by a Mariners catcher.

Our boys in blue have a huge series again the Toronto Blue Jays coming up on Monday, and with an expected crowd of 35,000+ Felix Hernandez will look to go out and give the fans a one game Wild Card playoff type performance next week.

Right now though the M’s are focusing on taking the series from the White Sox and help their playoff chances.

After tonight’s game, Erasmo Ramirez will take the mound on Sunday hoping to pitch like he did against the Mets a couple weeks ago. Then comes the big showdown with our friends North of the border.

Things are heating up in the playoff and Wild Card positions with only 2 months to go, and the Mariners are looking to continue their offensive tear as well.

Tonight again is a big game for the M’s, seeing how the Blue Jays have already won today. So they will look to either stay either a half game back in the Wild Card or look to regain that 2nd spot tonight.

Go Mariners!!!!!
