The Seattle Mariners had a great week. They won five of their six games and increased their overall win column now sitting nine games over .500. Although they are currently six games out of first place, the Mariners would still make the playoffs if the season were to end today.

As the trade deadline approaches, the Mariners look to be buyers this year instead of sellers. It’s been fun watching our Seattle players succeed in Fantasy Baseball this year. Now we get to dig deeper into our squads based on some of the trade rumors that could take place come July 31st.

Year after year, the trade deadline tends to make a huge dent in fantasy baseball. Just look at the recent blockbuster trade that sent Jeff Samardzija from the last place Chicago Cubs to the first place Oakland Athletics. His fantasy value took a huge boost in the win column playing for a team that can produce run support.
