Happy Friday Mariners fans! Time once again for the Friday Top-5. A look at the top five things to look for this weekend as the Seattle Mariners continue through the 2014 season.

It was a rough series against Tampa Bay, losing two of three to the Rays at home. But the team now goes back on the road, in which they actually have a better record.

Sitting at an even 20-20, at the quarter-mark of the 2014 season, the Mariners are two games back of the Los Angeles Angels for 2nd place in the AL West and 4.5 back of the Oakland Athletics for 1st place.

Let’s now take a look at the five things to be watching for/looking forward to this weekend.

Winning 18 out of 25? That has to be a prayer, not a prediction.

Nope, it was not a prediction. I said, “If the Mariners can go on a run while they are at home, let’s say winning 18 of the 25 games (not unreasonable), they will improve their home record to 26-17 (about where it should be) and this team could potentially be right in the thick of the AL West race as the calendar turns to July.”

Nowhere in there was a prediction. We can be wishful thinkers though.
