Seattle Mariners To Play Doubleheader In Oakland May 7

The Seattle Mariners will play a good old-fashioned doubleheader when the team returns to Oakland in early May, to make up the game that was postponed due to soggy field conditions back on April 4th.

The games will be played on May 7th, the final day of a long road trip for the Mariners and makes the three-game series with the Athletics a four-game one.

The first game is scheduled for 12:37 pm PDT with the second game starting 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.

The Mariners last played a twin bill on August 23rd, 2011 against the Cleveland Indians. They split the games with the Indians losing 7-5 and winning the nightcap 12-7. In fact, dating back to 2008, the Mariners have taken part in four doubleheaders, splitting each of them.
