Initial Thoughts:
The Mariners are without their top bat once again and Mike Zunino gets a day off as well. If the pitching staff can bounce back from yesterday’s sorry performance, this could be a split-squad sweep.
** UPDATE: D.J. Peterson played in the first game and came down with an upset stomach in the 9th inning. He will not start the 2nd game.
Game Details:
Time of game: 12:05 PM Pacific and 6:05 PM Pacific
Location: Scottsdale and Glendale, Arizona.
Both games available on MLB.TV. The Giants game will be broadcast on tape delay at 1 AM PST Sunday morning and the Dodgers game will be live on MLB Network at 6:05 PM PST.
THE MATCHUPS:
Pitching:
Mariners: Erasmo Ramirez & Blake Beavan
vs.
Giants: Ryan Vogelsong & Dodgers: Josh Beckett
Lineups:
Mariners: Vs. Giants/Dodgers

Of note: Robinson Cano gets another day off recovering from root canal surgery he had Wednesday. He has an outside shot at playing Sunday, but most likely Monday. Also, we have a CONDOR sighting. Though he’s in right again. Not sure if the club really wants to get a good look at Almonte or if Saunders is actually losing his spot to him.
Giants / Dodgers:
Gregor Blanco 8 / Dee Gordon 4
Brandon Belt 3 / Carl Crawford 7
Buster Posey 2 / Hanley Ramirez 6
Pablo Sandoval 5 / Scott Van Slyke 9
Tony Abreu DH / Clint Robinson 1B
Juan Perez 7 / Juan Uribe 5
Roger Kieschnick 9 / Joc Pederson 8
Nick Noonan 4 / Tim Federowicz 2
Ehire Adrianza 6 / Alex Guerrero DH
Final Thoughts:
The Mariners are now 7-3 and looking to bounce back after a tough loss Friday to the Reds. Should be a fun, albeit long day of baseball. Enjoy.
