Initial Thoughts:
The Mariners split squads once again and take on a White Sox split squad in Glendale today while the other squad takes on the Reds back in Peoria tomorrow. Scott Baker gets the start today along with a mix of presumed starters and backups.
Game Details:
Time of game: 12:05 PM Pacific
Location: Glendale, Arizona.
THE MATCHUPS:
Pitching:
Mariners: Scott Baker
vs.
White Sox: John Danks
Lineups:
Mariners:
Corey Hart DH
Of note: Nothing unusual to note here. A nice mix of guys getting a shot and guys we expect to see on Opening Day.
White Sox:
Paul Konerko DH
Of note: Dunn and Konerko in the middle of that lineup. Good test for Baker.
Final Thoughts:
The Mariners are 6-2 but it’s not on the field that’s making news today. News broke about a possible trade involving the Yankees and Mariners. Details on that can be found here.

Seems MLB.com has projected Abraham Almonte to be the starting centerfielder for the Mariners. Interesting to say the least.
Taijuan Walker threw today, said he felt good. He is scheduled to do some more throwing tomorrow.
