Breaking Down Tickets For The Mariners' Bobblehead Games

With ace Hisashi Iwakuma’s continued improvement, major off-season acquisition Robinson Cano, and Felix Hernandez looking to add another year to his reign as King of Safeco Field, the Mariners are looking to make some noise in the AL West this season. To celebrate the season, the Mariners will host 5 Bobblehead nights saluting Seattle’s past, present, and future.

  1. 5/31/14 vs Detroit Tigers – Robinson Cano Bobblehead

    Average Ticket Price: $82, Get-in Price: $24

The first bobblehead night of the season comes May 31st vs the Tigers. The Mariners were looking for big things from Cano when they pryed him away from the Yankees with a monster contract this off-season, and this game offers fans an opportunity to salute whom they hope will be the future face of the franchise.

  2. 6/12/14 vs New York Yankees – Macklemore Bobblehead

    Average Ticket Price: $122, Get-in Price: $32

The June 12th game honors Seattle pop-culture with Macklemore bobblehead night. The Seattle-based rapper is responsible for hits such as “Can’t Hold Us” and “Thrift Shop”. Even more notably, this game will feature the Yankee’s Derek Jeter last game at Safeco Field during Jeter’s Finale Tour. With an average secondary market ticket price of $122, it’s by far the most expensive game on our list and 69% higher than the home average of Seattle Mariners Tickets at $72.

  3. 7/12/14 vs Oakland Athletics – Hisashi Iwakuma Bobblehead

    Average Ticket Price: $82, Get-in Price: $22

Exactly one month after Jeter says his farewell to Seattle, the Mariners will pay tribute to their All-Star pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma. Iwakuma has posted a 23-11 record through his MLB tenure thus far, and finished 3rd in Cy Young voting last season.

  4. 8/9/14 vs Chicago White Sox – Lou Piniella Bobblehead

    Average Ticket Price: $89, Get-in Price: $23

The Mariners pay tribute to the franchise’s most successful manager with Lou Piniella Bobblehead night on August 9th vs the White Sox. Piniella was a 2-time AL Manager of the year with the Mariners and lead the team to their last playoff appearance in 2001.

  5. 8/30/14 vs Washington Nationals – Felix Hernandez Bobblehead

    Average Ticket Price: $79, Get-in Price: $28

The final bobblehead night comes in a late season interleague matchup with the Nats. The Mariners pay tribute to their best player of the past few seasons, King Felix. The 4-time all star and 2010 Cy Young winner pitched the Major League’s 23rd perfect game in an August 2012 match up with Tampa Bay. Fans will surely be hoping to see Felix duke it out with the Nats’ sensation Stephen Strasburg.
