MLB Rumors: Kendrys Morales Coming To Seattle?

With the recent talks with free agent outfielder Nelson Cruz allegedly cooling, could it be that the Mariners are turning their attention once again to Kendrys Morales?

Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe had this to say on Twitter yesterday:

I believe both counts. Pittsburgh has been very draft savvy and is probably very unwilling to part with the pick. As for the Orioles, they just signed Ubaldo Jimenez to a 4-year $50M deal, so money may be running out in Baltimore.

So what does this mean for Seattle? They are reportedly still trying to obtain the services of at least one starting pitcher, either Ervin Santana or another option possibly via trade.

Does bringing back Morales signal the end to the Nelson Cruz pursuit? Probably. And I know many Mariners fans will be breathing a heavy sigh of relief on that one.
