Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe had this to say on Twitter yesterday:
Kendrys Morales status: Don't rule out Seattle. Word is Duquette can't get financial go-ahead and Pittsburgh won't part with the draft pick.

I believe both counts. Pittsburgh has been very draft savvy and is probably very unwilling to part with the pick. As for the Orioles, they just signed Ubaldo Jimenez to a 4-year $50M deal, so money may be running out in Baltimore.
So what does this mean for Seattle? They are reportedly still trying to obtain the services of at least one starting pitcher, either Ervin Santana or another option possibly via trade.
Does bringing back Morales signal the end to the Nelson Cruz pursuit? Probably. And I know many Mariners fans will be breathing a heavy sigh of relief on that one.
