Super Bowl Win Predicted By Mariners PA Announcer?

Back in April of this past year, Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Safeco Field.

Watch the video and listen to the PA announcer after Sherman throws a strike to Brandon Maurer. (Kid could learn a few things from Sherman)

Did you catch that?

He wished Sherman and his Seahawk teammates the best of luck as “you compete for a Super Bowl championship next season.”

Foreshadowing? Perhaps.

Earlier, I pointed out how the outcome of the Super Bowl may or may not influence the likelihood of a team making the MLB playoffs. Are the stars aligning for Seattle in 2014?

Quarterback Russell Wilson also threw out a first pitch at a M’s game in June. The 75 MPH pitch had some movement and would’ve been just off the plate (though I know about 300 major leaguers who would’ve swung at it).

I couldn’t find any video evidence of the Colorado Rockies having a member of the Denver Broncos throw out a first pitch this past season. So that’s a 2-0 advantage for the Seahawks.

well, all 32 teams “compete for a Super Bowl championship” before and during the season (ok, the Jags would’ve been a stretch).. now, if he said “compete in”, he’d be “all in”, as the Seahawks slogan goes.
