Geoff Baker of the Seattle Times is reporting that Kevin Mather will be the next President of the Seattle Mariners.
Mather will move up from his current role as VP of finance and ballpark operations. A position he has held since 1996 when he came to Seattle from the Twins organization.
Hearing that #Mariners executive VP Kevin Mather will succeed Chuck Armstrong as team president. Beat out fellow exec VP Bob Aylward.

Previous reports that indicated that the Mariners were going to tab their new president from in-house appears to be correct.
Current Mariners President Chuck Armstrong is retiring on January 31, so Mather has eight days to gear up and prepare to make some big decisions with the season just around the corner.
