The Seattle Mariners have re-signed outfielder Endy Chavez to a Minor League deal with a Spring Training invite.
Chavez, who turns 36 in February signed a similar minor league deal with the M’s last March and ended up playing in 97 Major League games. He played in all three outfield positions and had a slash line of .267/.290/.327 in 279 plate appearances.

Chavez would be fighting not only age, but an already-crowded outfield with Franklin Gutierrez, Abraham Almonte, Dustin Ackley, Logan Morrison and even Willie Bloomquist all fighting for playing time.
