The Seattle Mariners have re-signed outfielder Endy Chavez to a Minor League deal with a Spring Training invite.

Chavez, who turns 36 in February signed a similar minor league deal with the M’s last March and ended up playing in 97 Major League games. He played in all three outfield positions and had a slash line of .267/.290/.327 in 279 plate appearances.

Chavez would be fighting not only age, but an already-crowded outfield with Franklin Gutierrez, Abraham Almonte, Dustin Ackley, Logan Morrison and even Willie Bloomquist all fighting for playing time.

The playing time should be figured out during the spring. Be there by getting your Seattle Mariners spring training tickets here.
