Jack Zduriencik- Turn On Your Phone!

This just in……Seattle general manager Jack Zduriencik left the GM meetings in Orlando last week and left his phone on silent. How else do you explain the complete lack of movement coming out of the Emerald City?

Teams around the MLB are making moves to better themselves. The Yanks just signed Brian McCann, the Cardinals signed Jhonny Peralta and traded for Peter Bourjos. The Tigers traded Prince Fielder to Texas for Ian Kinsler. San Francisco signed Tim Hudson, the Royals inked Jason Vargas and the Padres got Josh Johnson.

So on and so forth.

Meanwhile, out of Seattle………(crickets)………

So, somebody go over to Jack Zduriencik’s house and knock on his door and remind him that his phone is on silent. Because he has missed 14 calls, 30+ text messages and Mariners Nation is anxiously waiting for some action.

Mariners better be on Mike Napoli sweepstakes in order of signing him away from the World Series winner Boston Red Sox to return to the AL West Division by playing in Seattle. Also, re-sign Raul Ibanez & Kendry Morales for a year or two contracts each and acquire pitcher David Price & Matt Joyce (needs a change of scenery) from the Tampa Ray Rays for pitchers James Paxton or Danny Hultzen & Anthony Fernandez, first baseman Justin Smoak as change of scenery would help too, and either a player to be named or international slot. Finally, please sign a hitter to a minor league contract that can hit left handed pitchers coming off the bench.

It is just mind numbing amazing to me that everyone seems to be sitting on Jack’s shoulder and watching him do nothing. It must be nice to have that crystal ball at your fingertips.
