Arizona Fall League

The Arizona Fall League came to a close this week with the Surprise Saguaros defeating the Mesa Solar Sox for the title. The Peoria Javelinas (where the Mariners players played) finished in last place in the West Division with a record of 12-19.

Kyle Hunter- In eight games for the Peoria Javelinas, Hunter was 0-3, with a 8.10 ERA in just 16.2 IP, giving up 29 H while walking seven and striking out 12.

Dominic Leone- In 11 games for Peoria, Leone was 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 12 IP, giving up 14 hits, while walking one, striking out 15 and recording six saves in six tries.

Carson Smith- In five games for Peoria, Smith had a 12.60 ERA in 5 IP, with a save. He has four walks, four strikeouts and four wild pitches.

Brandon Maurer- Maurer finished with a 1-2 record, with a 5.95 ERA in six starts. He walked 12 and struck out 17.

Chris Taylor- In 18 games for Peoria, Taylor batted .294 (20-68), with an OBP of .351 with four doubles, a triple, homer, five RBI and five stolen bases.

Patrick Kivlehan- Patrick batted .164 in 18 games (10-61) with a homer and 5 RBI.

Stefen Romero- Romero finished the AFL season with a .212 average (14-66) with a couple of homers and six RBI.
