Fear The Beard
The Mariners have been named as an interested party in Brian Wilson‘s services. And why not?
I brought it up last month but thought that he would want to stay in the high-profile big market like L.A. or San Francisco.
The Yankees, Tigers, Rockies, Red Sox, Indians as well as his former teams, Dodgers and Giants, have all shown interest in signing Wilson. Well, you can take the Yanks off the list because Wilson’s agent informed the team he won’t shave the beard.
And why should he? I can just see Wilson walking up to Dustin Ackley and in his best Crocodile Dundee voice say to him, “That’s not a beard……THIS is a beard!”
