  • At the top of the Seattle Mariners rumor list is the possible acquisition of Daisuke Matsuzaka from the Boston Red Sox. Naturally, this has many fans dismayed and confused – some fans are starting to think of the Mariners as the just out of the playpen and just before retirement team.
  • Seattle Mariners FanFest is underway. Our own Ashley is covering the Mariners’ event. The Mariners managers are reporting that they feel confident in their team this year.
  • There’s more talk about Felix Hernandez and his contract extension. Conflicting reports abound, some claim that there have been no such talks.
  • Mike Zunino is reporting that he will be ripe and ready to go for the Mariners’ 2013 season.
  • Michael Saunders will be representing the Mariners in the World Baseball Classic prior to joining his team in Peoria for Spring Training.
  • The New York Yankees report that Alex Rodriguez may miss the entire 2013 season due to his injury.
