Trade Poll: Kevin Millwood

As the All-Star Break approaches, the rumor monster will awaken from its slumber. As the monster frantically spews it’s rumors across the baseball world, several Mariners are sure to be caught in the fanatical chaos.

For many years Mariner fans have been begging the organization to bring in Millwood on an incentive laden deal. The Mariners finally complied and after a slow start, Millwood has turned out to be delightfully average. Veteran pitchers who can chew up innings are mildly sought after around the trade deadline, and with the Mariners so far removed from contention and plenty of younger options to insert into his empty rotation slot, Millwood figures to dangled out in front of potential buyers.

Considering how hard average pitchers have been to find, how do you feel about dealing Millwood?

Are you in favor of trading Kevin Millwood?

Millwood is in no way a part of this organization’s future. Even a long-shot prospect we could get in return has more chance of helping the Mariners long-term than does Millwood at this point.

@MattyK I completely agree. Millwood was brought in for this singular purpose: Chew up some innings, become trade bait.
