We're On The Right Track Now

I won’t get too deep into this, as I have already graceously offered my opinion on the matter.

All I can say is that this is a step in the right direction. The MLB publicly suspended Davidson today for multiple violations of conduct in the situation handling department. Baseball made the right decision to bring this into a public light. Featured in the clip above you can clearly hear Davidson fiercely erupting from the press box.

“You think I wanted to block his ass! What the hell are you yelling at!”

Egos and umpires. Not that the bench was necessarily doing the right thing either. The umpire clearly wasn’t intending to block the catcher. Regardless, Davidson lost his cool.

Major League Baseball needs to make this a regular occurrence. Fans have a right to know. The age of protecting the umpire is long outdated, it’s time for a change. Now it is just a waiting game to see if any action will be taken against Bill Miller and his conduct.
