How 2011 Draftees Faired

I always like looking at how everything shakes out when it comes to the draftees. Who had a quick start, who didn’t. That short of thing. Please take the following with a grain of salt. Mike Piazza didn’t run into “Mike Piazza” until his third year in the Dodgers minor league system. And there are many more instances of that occuring.

This is just a fun little exercise just to update you how they faired.

I’ll be going over the last four years worth of draft picks through October so this should be an interesting series.

Looks like a little “draft to fill a need” was going on at C. Jack Marder seems like the pick of the litter there. Brad Miller might give Franklin a little more competition than Littlewood did. I fear the conversion of Littlewood will come to naught. Angel “Small Sample” Salome might be interesting at C – or not.

Mike Dowd had a 400% walk rate? Holy Cow? That’s a four-base walk every time he came up to bat!!!

    ;)
