Boxscore: Game 56

We’re keeping pace with you Texas… we’re coming for you…

Okay, I really felt that this was going to be a let down of a series. But instead the bats came out and really slapped James Shields around. Shields, as some of you know is one of USS:Mariner site maintainer Dave Cameron’s “boys”. He is one of the most under rated pitchers in all of the big leagues as many times his ERA and lack of wins leaves people underwhelmed and really unappreciative of what he’s accomplished.

Make no mistake the Mariners beat up on a GOOD pitcher. This was a very big thing and we needed this.

Well at least Halman will get a bigger paycheck for a while and Saunders needs to bat, a lot. After this game I guess it’s hard to argue Carp would do better than Peggy, but I still think he would. They beat a class pitcher and a good team. Good chance to win another series from Beasts of the East.
