Boxscore: Game 45

Pineda is just awesome. What an awesome game to watch. When the Mariners scored in the second I think we all knew that we had pretty much already won this game. It’s a great feeling and we get it twice in a rotation.

Mike Wilson and Carlos Peguero have been pretty exciting to watch over the last two weeks. I still don’t have high expectations for either of them but hopefully maybe one of them will beat the odds.

Everyone is certain that the Mariners are going to move Jack Wilson in the coming weeks. But I have to ask, doesn’t Adam Kennedy make a little more sense at this stage? Not to mention he has more value than Wilson.

Just my two cents.

Z’s $5MM tops your two cents. He’s not going to throw that away for nothing, he might for not much.

I think I’m becoming a Bundy believer, who’d of thunk it. He’s also told the Pirates not to draft him as they don’t approve of his long toss routine and supposedly admitted the $30MM bonus demand was a marketing ploy. You hope he doesn’t believe everything Boras “advises” he do.

There is some dispute among a few teams over who he did and did not tell to draft him. I will say that the Mariners allowed Felix Hernandez to use a very similar long toss program and still do. Felix is a huge believer in it.

I don’t expect them to draft Bundy but if they did I would be ecstatic.
